Tom is a classically trained pianist, accredited vocal balance teacher, social media manager and lead vocalist of a emerging pop/rock band. After graduating university with a First Class Honours degree, he now lives and works in Brighton. Tom has shared festival line ups with artists such as McFly and Jools Holland. Tom’s vocals and song writing have been championed by BBC Radio 1, Radio 6 and Apple Music editorial playlists.
Tom has expertise in advanced acoustic vocal pedagogy, with a high degree of knowledge in voice science. He has studied with respected pedagogues, Kenneth Boseman and John Henny and has trained with world renowned voice practitioners such as Robert Sussuma and Jedd Owen-Ellis Clarke. He holds a strong passion for Vocal Balances’ ethos to help singers advance with vocal technique, performance, mindset.
Tom's teaching philosophy is effective and simple: “The voice studio should be filled with joy and laughter without losing sensibility for fun and play.” This is encouraged by A heuristic approach to teaching by encouraging students into a state of self-exploration.
