Scarlet was born in Buckinghamshire in the UK and trained for four years at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama, London. On leaving she was invited back to the school to spend another year on their prestigious Junior Fellowship programme.

Scarlet is a vocalist and multi-instrumentalist, specialising in jazz and contemporary music. She has led workshops in London, Boston, and Chicago, teaching vocal improvisation technique and jazz theory. She has a wide range of performance experiences at Ronnie Scott's, Cadogan Hall, The Royal Albert Hall in London, as well as Carnegie Hall and The Town Hall in New York.

Scarlet offers one-to-one lessons at Bluthner Piano Centre, Central London.
